DESCRIPTION:

An armband crafted from circular wood, featuring an anthropomorphic figure affixed to it and reinforced with rattan strips for stability. Adding to its distinctiveness, a bird's feather is attached to the head of the human figure.

Known as tangkil, abkil, or tangka, this armband is a customary accessory among Bontoc men. Worn on the upper arm, just above the elbows, the tangkil showcases variations in materials used, including original versions made from boar's tusks and wood.
